An impressive PIC controlled light chaser with 5 x 500 Watt rated TRIAC outputs each to drive standard filament type light bulbs. Ideal for parties, discos, shop-windows and eye-catching signs.
The pre-programmed PIC offers 8 different user-selectable light patterns including :
Five LED indicators mimic the triac outputs (as demonstrated in the product video). The board starts from the previously used pattern when powered up.
The board is powered from 220-240Vac mains and includes a protection fuse and power supply stage with step-down mains transformer for the low voltage control electronics. All components including TRIACs, heatsinks and solder for assembly are supplied.
This module is designed for use with conventional mains tungsten (incandescent and halogen) filament light bulbs only. It is NOT suitable for use with LED, fluorescent, CFL, halogen with transformer, neon, low energy bulbs, etc. or any other type of inductive load like transformers, motors, etc.
