An easy to build, powerful, Stabilised power supply with variable output voltage from 2 to 30 volts and a maximum power rating of 5A. It covers almost all of the voltage needs in the electronic laboratory.
Circuit is a tried and tested design that uses an LM317 variable output voltage regulator IC to drive three parallel 2N3055 power transistors.
The kit comes complete with a large pre-drilled heat sink for the power transistors. You need to add a 24Vac/5A mains transformer.
FeaturesProduct selection advice: Please ensure the equipment under power draws less current than the power supplies maximum rated current detailed below (do not rely on equipment rating specifications as they are often incorrect). We recommend that the power supply is rated at least 20% above the equipment to be powered so it can handle current surges, etc.
