A good quality and reliable variable voltage, stabilised power supply that is ideal for the hobbyist or professional laboratory.The kit features short circuit protection, variable DC voltages from 3-30V and a rated output of 2.5 Amps which is sufficient for most applications (if you require a higher output see kit 1096KT which is rated at 5A).

Circuit is a tried and tested design that uses an LM723 voltage stabilise IC to drive a Darlington pair formed by two power transistors, namely a BD135 and a 2N3055.

The kit features short circuit protection, variable DC voltages from 3-30V and a rated output of 2.5 Amps which is sufficient for most applications (if you require a higher output see kit 1096KT which is rated at 5A).

The kit comes complete with a large pre-drilled heat sink and you just need a 24Vac / 3A transformer.
