Our Introduction To PIC Programming Tutorial Starter Kit ideal for those of you who are new to PIC microcontrollers and wish to learn from scratch how to program them in assembler code using Microchip's MPLab software.
The product comprises the following:
The documentation comprises a detailed but easy to understand 49 page tutorial manual that takes you step by step through building the hardware and burning your first PIC right through to understanding how a microcontroller works and writing your own software assembler code. In fact we have made it so easy you will be learning how to design a project and write your own programs from page 7!
The PIC16F84A is electrically erasable so it can be used over and over again with different code (we supply four detailed code examples for you to learn from). The hardware has an LED test section that allows you to bench test your code.
FeaturesAlthough it is possible to buy cheaper PIC16F84A programmers, features rapidly drop off as the price goes down e.g. manual switching of programming voltage, no verify or read facility, minimal software. And without certain assembled-in safety circuits these cheaper models cannot be guaranteed to work on all PC's.
