30 LEDs and 10 attention-grabbing, absorbing patterns are produced by this high-tech ATMEL AT89C2051 microcontroller driven LED Star. It is far more impressive than any other LED flasher we have seen.
You could use it in shop windows to attract customers (it really is impossible to miss!) or just for fun. It would be quite easy to cover the PCB with a decorative mask.
It uses 30 super-bright red LEDs and the microcontroller to do all the hard work. The patterns are read from a lookup table in the microcontroller. This kit demonstrates the power of using a microcontroller over normal IC's.
The ATMEL microcontroller is supplied pre-programmed and the complete, fully commented, software code used is also available for you to study and learn from, making this kit an excellent introduction to using and programming microcontrollers. Ideal teaching project.
