This xenon strobe flasher module requires a 12Vdc input (from a power supply or batteries not supplied) to drive a high voltage onboard xenon flash tube.
A sidac is used to trigger the xenon U-flashtube. Two capacitors are supplied to give different flash rates. A potentiometer is used to vary the flash rate from about 1-2 flashes per second (Slow Flash) and 3-6 flashes per second (Fast Flash) depending on the capacitor fitted.
Onboard fuse protection. Pre-wound transformer.
For a 6V version of this item see 3162.

Strobe Lighting Safety | Uunder some conditions strobe lights may induce epilepsy in flicker-sensitive individuals. The risk of seizures is believed to be lower when the flash rate is below 5 Hz (5 flashes per second).Whenever strobe lights are used, arrange for a prior warning to be given. |
