Reliable, high speed, professional quality USB Flash PIC Microcontroller Programmer with ZIF programming socket and 6-pin ICSP connector. Programs a wide range of Flash microcontrollers... Electronics > Circuit Boards & Components > Printed Circuit Boards > Development Boards AS3150ZIF AS3150ZIF AS3150ZIF 5.0 1 Like shelling peas I tried a PIC3 programmer not only was it a failure the software too intrusive leaving me ages to clean up after an uninstal, the latest version is even worse. As a last resort to gving up I tried this.... success at the first attempt, my first ever PIC Countdown timer, I fiddled with the other far, far longer and gave up. Just two little niggles though, it would be nice if there was a case for it and would protect the components, the ZIF socket could be outside the case, thats why I knocked a start off. I noted the available on board programming chip is available, could have been a through-hole component, a socket far better.... but thats irrelevant. It got the job done far easier than I expected AND far quicker..... when setting up I did things in order without any problems. Oh, I missed something important out, I think Quasar will agree a diagram pops up showing you the way the chosen chip is inserted..... BUT which is top and which is bottom, i.e no pin 1 marker.....and no mention. Pin 1 end is the key lock end this being the top. Be sure to fit the chip as in the window that is shown AFTER selecting the chip..... now that IS dandy that is, it takes the guessing out. DO NOT put it on bare metal as it will short the copper tracks 5 5 1 41.95 Quasar Electronics Limited
