If you are running a later version of Windows try HyperTerminal (built into Windows) or our preferred program MTTTY (http://www.netburner.com/support/downloads.html). No installation required with the latter - just run it. You set up all the comms parameters, 9600 8N1, from within the program. There is a 'Connect' button that you 'press' in order to start communications.
