This
kit is a great way to explore the wonders of modern FM radio. The finished
project gives a very decent performance indeed with surprising good sensitivity
and sound quality even when used with just the simple wire antenna and small
speaker provided.
The circuit uses a TDA7000 which provides a complete FM receiver in a single IC package. Varicap tuning provides high stability and a powerful 5 Watt TDA2003 audio amplifier IC gives a good quality sound output.
No setting up or special test equipment are required. The coils are already wound and the only things you have to do is to tune into a station adjust the volume and enjoy the music.
All components including speaker, heatsink and pre-wound coil are supplied.
Excellent intermediate level project for schools and colleges. Introduces a good selection of components.
