General Ordering Information

Prices

All prices quoted in our online catalogue, printed catalogue and advertisements are in British Pounds Sterling (which we have abbreviated to GB£) and are inclusive of VAT @ 17.5%. The VAT cannot be deducted for EC customers unless you are registered for VAT and supply us with a written order showing your VAT/TVA/IVA number. If you live outside the EC you can deduct 17.5% VAT from all items (apart from shipping/banking charges) by dividing the price  by 1.175. To get an idea of how much our products are in your own currency you can use THE UNIVERSAL CURRENCY CONVERTER?. Any import duties applied are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Kit (KT) or Assembled (AS)?

The KT order code products are supplied in kit form. The AS order code products are supplied with ready assembled and tested. (Most of the pictures on our website show products in the ready assembled format.) more

Placing Your Order

Our minimum order charge is GB£6.00 plus shipping charge applicable to your country. There is no minimum order quantity and only one selling price - you get the best price right from your first order.

Online Shopping Facility

Despatch Procedure

Delivery

All orders are subject to a non-refundable standard delivery charge based on weight and destination. Express and International delivery options are available at extra cost. Full details can be found above.
We endeavour to despatch goods the same day (subject to stock availability) where orders are placed before 1.00pm (excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays).
UK Standard 3-7 Working Day Delivery orders will be sent by our choice of either Royal Mail 2nd or 1st Class mail (Recorded (Signed for) option at our discretion), Royal Mail Standard Parcels, Royal Mail Special Delivery or ParcelForce 48 Hour.
UK Mainland Next Working Day Insured Delivery orders will be sent by our choice of either Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day or ParcelForce 24 Hour and are guaranteed to reach you by 6pm the next Working Day (Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays) following the day of despatch. Deliveries to Scottish highlands and other outer lying areas are not guaranteed for next day delivery (click here for full details).
International orders will be shipped by Airmail or courier depending on the weight and value of the goods ordered.
Deliveries are made between 8am and 6pm local time, Monday to Friday and 8am and 1pm on Saturdays (please note that Saturday is not a guaranteed delivery day). Parcels may require a signature. If there is no one available to take delivery, a card will be left and you will need to make you own re-delivery/collection arrangements with the carrier.
We will notify you of any delays due to stock shortage via e-mail or telephone. You can expect delivery of any back-ordered items within 30 days of placing your order.

Please do not use P.O. Box addresses, as goods will be returned and you will have to pay a further shipping charge.

Exports

Carriage will be charged on orders involving Export at the published rates for consignments up to 500 Grams gross weight. We will contact you before accepting any Export order exceeding 500 Grams gross weight with details of shipping options and rates.

Product Availability

All despatch times quoted are subject to product availability but we do endeavour to keep all items in stock for immediate delivery. We will not substitute products without the customers prior approval.

Credit Accounts

Private Sector Organisations

We do not offer automatic account facilities to Companies but we accept payment by most major credit/debit/Amex cards along with PayPal, cheque and postal orders. If you are a company registered in the United Kingdom you can apply for a credit account using our Credit Account Application Form.

Public Sector Organisations

We will automatically grant credit account facilities to all government establishments, school, colleges and universities based in the United Kingdom. The first order on account will only be accepted when an official purchase order (that shows a purchase order number) is received by fax or post. Subsequent orders on account will be accepted by telephone provided that an official purchase order number is quoted. Written confirmation of telephone orders must be marked 'Confirmation Only' to avoid liability for a duplicate delivery. There is no minimum order value for account customers. 

Credit Account Terms

Settlement terms are strictly net, and all invoices are due for payment within 30 days of invoice date. The risk of loss or damage to Goods delivered shall pass to the customer at the time of delivery. The property in the Goods shall not pass to the Customer until all sums due or owing to Quasar Electronics Limited by the Customer on any account have been paid.
