CR0027 - AC Motor Speed Controller (External-Signal/ Potentiometer) Module (230Vac, 5000W)

This external signal (0-10Vdc) or potentiometer operated AC motor speed controller uses a triac output and allows you to adjust the speed of 230Vac single-phase induction motors as used in power drills, vacuum cleaners, etc and an operating load of up to 5000 Watts.

Motor speed adjustment is from 0 to 100% is achieved using either an external 10K potentiometer (not included) or a 0-10V dc control signal. The dc control signal input is electrically isolated from the mains.

Signal input operation can be set so the output is either directly or inversely proportional to the control signal.

PRODUCT SELECTION NOTE: This module can be used to control the speed of 230Vac single-phase induction motors, light regulators, 230V signals through automatisms, etc… It is NOT suitable for use with synchronous AC motors or inductive loads like halogen or PL lamps, neon, etc.. The motor controller should have an output load capacity at least 25% above the motors peak power requirement. Please do NOT rely on motor rating plates for power consumption figures as they often quote average not peak power. You should verify the actual peak power at start-up and under full load before selecting an appropriate size motor controller.
