This 375 Watt 230Vac motor speed controller allow you to adjust the speed of single-phase induction motors as used in power drills, vacuum cleaners, etc. Speed adjustment is controlled using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and a Triac output and a potentiometer mounted on the board. The speed adjustment range is from 33 to 98% and an onboard trimmer provides minimum speed adjustment.
750W and 1500W models also available in this range.
All modules are supplied fully assembled and tested with instructions so you only need to make the necessary connections.
PRODUCT SELECTION NOTES: Suitable for controlling most 230Vac single-phase induction motors, filament lamps, etc... They are NOT suitable for use with synchronous AC motors, capacitor-start/run AC motors or inductive loads like halogen or PL lamps, neon, etc.. Ask the manufacturer to confirm if their motor is suitable for control using a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) style controller BEFORE you buy this product! The motor controller should have an output load capacity at least 25% above the motors peak power requirement. Please do NOT rely on motor rating plates for power consumption figures as they often quote average not peak power. You should verify the actual peak power at start-up and under full load before selecting an appropriate size motor controller.
This product operates at potentially lethal mains voltage. Construction, installation, testing and commissioning should only be attempted by competent persons, or under supervision of someone fully experienced in this field.
