! Sorry this product is discontinued - see below for alternatives!
This is our most comprehensive PIC programmer, an enhanced version of our tried and tested PICALL PIC Programmer (Order Code 3117).
This new version also programs AVR, SX and EEPROM's and has ISP programming as well. See below for the full list of devices covered. And yes it really will program them all or your money back! It offers fantastic value and is suitable for professional daily use.
Connects to PC parallel port (EPP, ECP, SPP). It uses a top quality gold
plated double sided PTH PCB (110 x 65mm) and is available in kit form or
assembled.
The enhanced version supports a wider ranger of devices and also has In-System Programming (ISP) programming facilities. When fitted with the optional ZIF socket (Order Code ZIF40W) as pictured it will program:
The price includes pre-registered and fully functional PICALL DOS and PICALLW Windows software packages. The software programs will work under DOS and all versions of Windows including XP and NT and with a little work LINUX (click here for details). It can also run under LINUX (click for details). You can download the software mentioned above from our Downloads page.
Software
now has a automatic blank-chip sensing feature for super fast zero keypress
bulk programming.
The software will show you where to place your PIC chip on the board
for programming.
Devices currently covered by this programmer are detailed below. You will need the optional ZIF socket to program the 0.3" Wide DIL devices listed.

| * Do not confuse parallel programming methods with the serial and parallel ports of a PC. A serial programmed PIC refers to the programming algorithm by which data enters the PIC. In this method the data bytes are entered serially onto 1 pin (like a shift register) and the 13V programming voltage is toggled onto a programming pin to latch and burn the byte. In the parallel programming method the whole byte is presented on an 8 pin port then the programming voltage is toggled. | |
** A small modification is required to program the 18C and 18F series chips (but ISP is not supported). See kit documentation below for details.
New PIC's can be added as they are released
by entering them in the DEVICE.INI file of the software.
