This
low cost 4 digit LED event counter can be used to count either up or down
in the range 0000 to 9999.
Inputs are triggered by any 'make' contact so it can be used to count pulses from switches, relays, open collector outputs or simply push buttons. For example, a turnstile micro switch or relay output from an infrared security beam (our kit 3130) counting cars, people or items on a conveyer belt. The contact must be released before the next count is registered.
Overflow output pulses low when the count wraps around to zero. This output allows two counters to be connected together to make an 8 digit counter.
