3051 - 'MMTX' Micro-Miniature 9V FM Room Transmitter Bug

MMTX offers excellent performance in a very compact package. It rivals many competitors products selling at 10 times the price! No surprise then that it's our best selling bug and is used by professional detective agencies worldwide. Measuring just 25 x 15mm and needing no aerial wire, it is small enough to hide just about anywhere.

MMTX has been designed to operate at the 'less busy' top end of the commercial FM waveband and also up into the more private Airband.

This bug uses a 2-transistor circuit with a coated inductor instead of more conventional coils, making it robust and stable in operation. It is the smallest possible size using normal passive components. To reduce the size any further we would have to use surface mount components and a double sided PCB, making DIY assembly very difficult. Provision for antenna wire for greater range if required.

• Transmits to 500m plus in the open using a 9V PP3  battery and no aerial wire
• Can be received on a standard FM or Airband radio (our Order  Code RAD4997 is ideal)
• Requires no aerial wire (but there is provision for fitting one for greater range)
• Highly sensitive built-in electret microphone
• User adjustable transmitting frequency (just requires a small screwdriver)
