3048 - Introduction To Power Audio Amplifiers

Using complete power amplifier chips like the LM386, TDA2004, etc. is modern, quick and easy but they teach you nothing about how power amplification actually works.

This kit uses discrete parts to construct a Class AB power amplifier, still one of the most common types used today, even in modern audio amplifier IC's.

Gives hands-on learning and detailed explanations about cross-over distortion, bootstrapping, complementary pairs, & push-pull outputs. Ideal for education.

Delivers several watts of power to the 75mm diameter, 8 Ohm speaker provided. Volume control potentiometer and heatsink supplied. Two LED indicators. On/Off switch.
