3001 - 3 Digit LED Event Counter
This
basic, low cost 3 digit LED event counter that can be used in a variety of event
counting applications. It is built around a 14553 BCD (binary coded decimal)
counter IC and a 14511 7-segment decoder driver IC.
Also provided is separate Counter Module PCB which allows manual counting by pressing a Count button. A Reset button and debounce circuitry are also provided. Digital inputs from other sources may be routed through this board with some modification to the debounce circuit if the input frequency is higher than 100 to 150 Hz.
Two or more counter modules may be connected together to display 6 or 9 digits. Display section can be cut off and located elsewhere connected by ribbon cable. Box for display module, connection cable, instructions and IC data sheets provided.
